“Watching meetings is long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror.” Last night was a prime example.
Remember at the beginning of the pandemic when Zoom calls were new to everyone? There was even an hysterical Saturday Night Live (SNL) skit about it, one line of which is, “Don’t take your clothes off, Nan.”
You would think by now our elected officials would have it down. Alas, Essex viewers caught an SNL-type comedic moment of our own at the Sept. 28th Joint Selectboard / Trustee meeting.
A perfectly appropriate reaction would have been, “Don’t take your clothes off, Dan.”
Or, as Pat Murray put it, “Oh my God, Dan, you’re killing me here, bro.”
